Free short test

As a free service we offer you nonbinding short tests in our eye centers in Berne and Fribourg. These are meant as a first guidance to determine whether a correction of your eyesight defect is possible. To this aim, we perform an examination that lasts ca 30 minutes, using the most modern devices, to analyze your visual defect and we determine the consistency of your cornea (thickness and form) – these values are essential for a first evaluation of your visual condition. At this stage it is not yet necessary to renounce wearing contact lenses. Thereafter, there is the possibility to set a date for a comprehensive (invoiced) pre-examination.

Please note that the free short test is meant for interested persons who would like to have their sight defect (such as myopia or hyperopia, astigmatism, and also presbyopia) corrected by a refractive surgery treatment, in order to be able to see well without glasses or contact lenses.

On the other hand, if you wish to submit to a general medical check-up of your eyes or if you suffer from an eye disease, please call for an appointment. The control or treatment will be invoiced and settled according to the TARMED Tarif by the Swiss health insurance scheme (Krankenkasse).
