The technology of refractive lasers has developed enormously and offers a wide range of possibilities. Myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia can nowadays be permanently corrected with ultra-modern laser methods.

SMILE – flapless laser procedure for myopia.
The innovative SMILE method is the first minimally invasive intrastromal laser procedure for the treatment of myopia and astigmatism worldwide. With this procedure, side effects such as dry eyes or a foreign body sensation only occur to a lesser extent or not at all, because the correction is carried out in the intact cornea.

The treatment methods PRK and LASEK have in common that the procedure is performed on the corneal surface. Both techniques are used when Femto-Lasik is not possible – e.g. because the cornea is too thin.
