Free short test
As a free service, we offer in our eye centers in Berne and Fribourg free short tests, without any commitment for you. This represents a first guidance to determine whether a correction of your visual defect is at all possible. To this aim, during an examination of ca. 30 minutes, we analyse your visual defect with the most modern devices and examine the structure (thickness and form) of your cornea – these values will be decisive for a first evaluation of the condition of your vision. Following this exam there is the possibility to set a date for a more comprehensive pre-examination (that will be charged). 

Comprehensive pre-examination
We offer all available modern technologies for the diagnosis and surgical treatment of visual defects such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia. Which treatment is suitable in your case will be shown by a comprehensive preliminary medical examination in our eye centers of Berne and Fribourg. This lasts ca. 1.5 hours and will be invoiced.

The most advanced equipment is used to gain a full medical picture that enables us to determine the exact nature of your visual defect, the characteristics of your eyes, and if, and under what conditions, your eye affliction is suitable to be treated by surgery.

These results serve as a basis for the later treatment of your visual defect. We will inform you immediately after the evaluation of the data on the best possibility of treatment in your case. It goes without saying that you will have enough time for any question or concern you might still have. You will also be informed on the exact sequence of the treatment and will be given a detailled documentation.

Please note that before the pre-examination you should renounce wearing contact lenses for a certain time (1-2 weeks), to avoid falsifying the results of measurments. During the examination you may receive special eye drops that enlarge your pupils. For this reason, you should avoid driving a car for a few ours after the examination.
